As a quilter first, I always approach designing my collections with a need for certain types of fabrics for my quilts. My first collections for FreeSpirit featured big, bold prints. With Tchotchkes and Particles I thought I should bring things back to basics with smaller, but still highly usable, designs. The stripes and cheater prints were designed to pull all the designs together in a fun, kitschy way. The resulting group is a collection with a little bit of this and a little bit of that—an assortment of tchotchkes for you to play with.
